Pipes Canyon Sawtooth House w Cowboy Pool Spa

Had a great time staying here -- it was exactly as promised. Great amenities, with decent cookware and kitchen supplies. Comfy beds, comfy couches. Loved the combo of the cowboy pool, the outdoor shower, and the hot tub. Also a great location -- Pipes Canyon is a great quiet neighborhood but still a quick jaunt into Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree town. I've stayed with the folks at Homestead Modern before and they're reliably great. They did a good job again here, and I'd definitely come back.

This house just feels like home ! The beds are cozy . The tv area is so comfortable great for watching movies! Everything outside , the spa, cowboy tub, fire pit is on point . This house is in the best spot with 360 degree views that are beautiful . Quiet neighborhood but with enough space you feel secluded. The way the house is decorated is so nice , but comfortable . We have stayed here before and still love it just as much.

The listing was fairly priced, secluded which is what my partner and I were looking for, nice clean home. Everything was as listed on the posting. The only small issue that could be picked out, was the amount of insects that were in the home; however, what would you expect from being in the middle of the desert. All around the stay was phenomenal to unplug for a few days.

Loved the private and secluded house about 12 min to Pioneertown and Red Dog/Pappy & Harriets. Also about 12 min to Yucca Valley restaurants. Meditation room, horseshoe court, and jacuzzi were all used and in a great condition. Perfect size house for a couple or 2 couples willing to share a bathroom. Kitchen is functional and we enjoyed the skylight in the family room. You feel like you are in Joshua Tree while stepping out at night/day! The shower could have been more clean as well as the couch in the family room. Nice touch on the complementary coffee, extra olive oil, and spices. I recommend this place and hope to stay again!

The land is beautiful. You're truly deep in the tranquility of Joshua Tree/Pioneertown. Deep, deep silence. Beautiful starry night skies. You have so much room to walk around and just take in the desert peace and quiet. The drive in and out of town has breathtaking views. The house itself is well appointed, particularly the very comfortable beds and sheets, it definitely looks like the photos, has great amenities like smart TV, hot tub and speaker for music. I will say that it does feel like it's run by a management company - meaning, this might not be the house for you if you're looking for something that feels homey/lived-in/cozy - it's well appointed, but definitely feels like a staged house. If that doesn't matter to you, then you will love this place.

We had a great experience in this super clean, perfectly located home. Every detail of this home is tightly manicured and it’s shows right down to the high quality of linens used (finally a rental home that’s also figured this out!). The Sawtooth house is a great getaway place that’s very accessible and really just a quick less than 10 minute drive from Pioneertown. If you are catching a show at Pappy and Harriet’s there, would definitely recommend staying here ! I will say that the creative space is a nicely spruced up garage that was dreadfully hot when we arrived (in summer mind you!) It felt wrong of us to try to run the AC in there to get it usable, so hopefully it gets better insulated in the future. The outdoor tubs are super clean and nice to use, the furniture in the house is tasteful and very comfy, the AC works great. Kitchen is fairly well stocked with appliances tools, but because this is run by a management company- I myself missed the normal life style “junk drawer” that you find in a family vacation home kitchen, and other personal touches that make a space feel more like a home. The tv and sound system in the place are really nice and work well. A nice stay at a “worth it” price

Decided to go for a last minute road trip to Pioneertown and was lucky enough to have stumbled upon this house. This is WAY bigger inside than the photos imply (which is amazing) and the area is remote enough for the scenery, but not so much that you’ll feel isolated (there are neighboring houses). Our stay was great, we felt secluded yet very close to town and the access is super easy compare to some other airbnbs in the same area, it means you don’t need to worry about getting stuck in the sand. I enjoyed the yoga room with a view every day. There’s plenty of books and games, our favorite was horseshoes outside! There were some minor issues but the homestead is very communicative and willing to help!

Our stay was AMAZING! We worked remote a few days and played in the surrounding area as much as we could with our dog. The home and surrounding landscape were stunning and peaceful. Homestead Modern was really communicative and responsive to our needs and check-in/check-out was a breeze. Obviously the Joshua Tree National Park was incredible, but we would also highly recommend checking out the nearby Indian Trail Loop at Pipe's Canyon. If you're going in the winter months we would recommend packing knit hats, coats, and gloves no matter what the forecast says. It got down to freezing temperatures during our visit and even snowed out in the desert!

Fabulous Airbnb in a gorgeous location. We took our dogs and you can walk along their little road in the silence past a few houses and feels so peaceful and stunning at sunset . Close to pioneertown which is handy for a fun night at Pappy and Harriets. Also very accessible to Joshua tree NP … we took dogs and did some short road walks and then we did one hike (Hidden valley mile loop) without them but have Tesla climate control in the car for dogs so they were safe and happy . The house is super stylish but also comfortable and so peaceful. Our beds were comfortable too. The yoga room is a lovely addition with a loevly view from it , and the hot tub and fire pit both such treats in the evening . We loved it ?

This was an epic location, all the details were well curated and thought out - to the comfort of the beds, to the layout, to the view from the hottub to see all the magical stars - the books and even the records were so perfect. We did yoga and enjoyed the fresh sunlight and breeze - outdoor shower - the only downside is that we only booked one night and not one week!!! Was hard to get in the groove and then leave! Wow! The house was immaculate, decor is stylish yet cozy and the separate yoga space was my favorite part of the entire house, second to the outdoor shower. The Homestead Modern team made sure everything was perfect for our stay and asked ahead of check in if there was anything they could stock in the house before we arrived. The nest AC kept the house cool and comfortable for the entire time. The location is just amazing, Pipes Canyon is our favorite spot in Yucca Valley. The atmosphere is so peaceful and enjoying a coffee by the fire pit in the morning was a fantastic way to start the day. We loved the gas fire pit, knowing it was safe and wouldn't cause any issues in the hi-desert. As noted, Pipes Canyon and Pioneertown has little cell service so at the house there is no cell signal but the wifi was great for watching Netflix and taking zoom meetings. The house was easy to get to and directions were spot on. We will be staying here again for sure.

My husband and I entered into a new and deeper level of relaxation at Sawtooth. Everything was exactly as described in the instructions emailed (i.e check-in, directions to house) and those in the stay manual. We enjoyed all of the amenities and appreciated the attention to detail in curating the space, which felt very much like our own home. Thank you for the welcome gift!!! We drank the tea each morning as we watched the sun rise. The only recommendation we would offer is to add a caddy of some kind to the outdoor shower. Spent several nights at this house for a stargazing trip to Joshua Tree that did not disappoint! While stars were brightest in the park, we were still able to make out so many, including the milky way, from the backyard of the house. Beds were comfy, hot tub was ideal, kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, nest thermostat was very convenient, and the surrounding area is extremely quiet and peaceful. Great spot for a getaway!

Sawtooth house is unbelievable! This is by far the nicest and most considered Airbnb I have ever stayed in. The creative space is super unique to the property. I highly recommend kicking back and letting the beauty of the area clear your head. There are amazing hikes right from the front door and with the fire pit and hot tub star gazing is on a whole other level. The locating is just a short hop to Pioneer town that has all you need for amenities. Along with a fully stocked kitchen, you will find everything you need to make your own food. We loved our stay at Sawtooth House and will definitely be back soon!

My stay at Sawtooth House was amazing! Situated in a remote part of the high desert, but also fairly easy to get to. It was so quiet, tranquil and offered incredible vistas. The exterior was somewhat plain, but once I was inside, I was pleasantly surprised by all of the contemporary design and details, Including the high quality fixtures and appointments. The beds were very comfortable and was provided with very soft and high quality towels and linens. This was obviously recently totally remodeled with great care and they spared no expense. Added bonus was the “yoga garage.” A re-purposed art studio/ yoga room, suitable for any inspired artist or Yogi. And don’t get me started about the books and record collection that was very thoughtfully curated. The hot tub was divine, and also had beautiful views while you enjoy. The “Sonos” sound system was a great addition, and it was so easy to enjoy my own music in every room of the house. The kitchen was stunning and very well equipped. The back patio provides a special environment for a dinner small dinner party, including a fire pit, horseshoe pit and a great little bbq. I can’t wait to try one of their gourmet bbq kits next time. Mollie and her team obviously have a great eye for detail and a passion for hospitality. You will be in great hands for a very enjoyable and memorable experience. I can’t wait to return to Sawtooth or one of their other exceptional properties!

I'll be back. It's such a well designed, thought out, and cool space! In a great area, close to Pioneertown, big property with tons of privacy. Super cool art, books & furniture. Very cool to be dog friendly. I loved the horseshoes, fire pit, bbq, and far enough away from the city lights to be able to really stargaze which is part of what makes JT so special.
