-BEDS & BATHS-
Saddleback Escape can comfortably sleep six guests in three bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom with sauna steam feature, and a private patio accessed through a sliding glass door. The second bedroom has a king-size bed, and the third has a queen.
The two bathrooms include modern fixtures, fluffy towels, and toiletries for your convenience. The master bathroom has a glass-walled steam shower, and the second bathroom includes a combination shower/tub.
-KITCHEN & DINING-
The kitchen is fully equipped for any desert-inspired culinary endeavor. Appliances include a gas cooktop, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher, and the cabinets are stocked with dishes and cookware. You’ll also find a blender, a drip coffee maker, and a French press ready for your morning ritual. Like the rest of the home, even the kitchen offers stunning views.
The kitchen faces the dining area, where you’ll find a table for 8 surrounded by walls of windows. Although you may be tempted to take your meal outside to the patio’s dining table, which also seats at least 8.
-LIVING SPACE-
After an invigorating hike or scenic drive around the area, come back to Saddleback Escape’s cozy living room for some much-deserved rest and relaxation. Kick back on the couch, watch a movie (Roku and surround sound included), or daydream about tomorrow’s adventures.
In addition to the living room, the unique game room features a garage door which opens to usher in the desert breezes. This indoor/outdoor space has a card table and a ping pong table — just ready for some friendly competition.
“The landscape where the home is situated is stunning, with beautiful sunrises & sunsets. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while watching the full moon in a sky changing colors.” -Recent Review
-OUTDOOR SPACE-
Favorite features of the property are always the outdoor amenities — including dining, lounging, and stargazing areas. Most notable is the hot tub that sits away from the house and offers jaw-dropping views in three directions. Nearby is an outdoor shower and lounging area. The patio includes a hot tub, a hammock, a day bed, and a fire pit, and next to the house is the covered patio area with a dining table, BBQ, and ping pong table.
To the east, the terrain slopes gently toward infinity amid a carpet of desert plants. To the south are the Bartlett Mountains, and beyond those are the ranks of peaks and boulder piles that traverse Joshua Tree National Park, 12 miles away. It’s a stargazer’s paradise, with the huge night sky and lack of light pollution.
-ESSENTIALS-
Parking is available for 4 vehicles, and an electric vehicle charger is provided.
Saddleback Escape has WiFi, heating, and air conditioning.
This home has a security camera mounted on, and directed at the exterior of the home in order to monitor the quantity of cars on property so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances.
-ACTIVITIES/ATTRACTIONS-
Visitors come to the High Desert for its unique landscape, culture, and recreational opportunities, as well as for the weather - hot and dry summers and mild winters at our high altitude. Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. You’ll be close to all the action at Saddleback Escape. Some of our favorite options available to you:
–Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography.
–Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm.
• The Integratron: New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process.
