Jumbo Rocks Cottage Hot Tub Plunge Pool Bocce

Walking distance to cute shops, restaurants, market and less than a mile away from the park entrance. They also provide some little books on the location and park if you need some info. The house is as described and gave us the privacy we were looking for. Sat outside around the fire pit and saw so many stars and relaxed in both the little dipping pool and jacuzzi after playing some games. The outdoor shower was so amazing. It was only 2 of us but would be great for a handful of people. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and the few people we ran into were very nice. The kitchen was fully stocked and the grill worked great. Would definitely stay again.

Booked this last minute for a weekend stay in Joshua Tree. Could not have been happier with the easy check in. The private backyard was perfect with the hot tub and the cool soaking tub. I have no complaints about this house. It's simple but clean and appears exactly as advertised. The backyard is very private, the hot tub is very large, comfortable and works perfectly, and you're just a short walk away from the main drag.

If you enjoy tchotchkes everywhere and doilies on every chair - this is not your place. This is an amazing, minimalist place that beautifully integrates into the landscape and reflects a serene setting with everything you could possibly need for a stay close to Joshua Tree. Perfect to get to the park, restaurants, saloon, liquor market in walking distance. Kitchen perfect for a few days. Hot tub is big and new. Plunge is cold and nice. Gas bbq and outdoor fireplace are great. Tips: bring Flipflops and a robe for the hot tub. Bring lunch boxes or similar for sandwiches etc to take for your hikes. Big supermarket is a few miles away and you need to bring pretty much everything for cooking. Dining in/outdoors. Fridge is big and works great.

Beautiful home! Perfect for a couple’s getaway — my boyfriend and I had a lovely weekend getaway. Loved the hot tub/fire pit/cold plunge. The host went out of their way to prepare the cold plunge for us even though it typically isn’t used during the Winter months. We loved it! Very cozy, clean and well-designed. I would definitely stay at Homestead Modern's Jumbo Rock location again on our next visit to Joshua Tree. We were deciding between a few other options when booking, and I'm glad we chose this stay. It had everything we needed to have a relaxing and convenient stay. We used the hot tub and fire pit every day that we were there, and they were both super easy to access and use. These were awesome perks after long days of hiking and exploring the National Park (which the western entrace was a quick 5 minute drive from the home). It was also so convenient to walk to all restaurants and shops, as they were nearly literally a stone's throw away. Even though it was right next to arguably the town's biggest nightlife location (JT Saloon), it was always quiet throughout the day and evenings. On top of the awesome home with it's high-end amenities, the hosts were very responsive and helpful. This is a top-tier stay, and I highly recommend it!

A wonderful place that perfectly fit our needs. It was very clean and restful, and the layout was lovely. Every detail was carefully thought out. The hot tub was amazing. Perfect for a trip focusing on spending time in the Nat'l Park, just hanging out together, or hitting the road for a quick visit to Palm Springs, etc. About a block from Country Kitchen, which had the most welcoming staff and delicious breakfast after a tough hike in the Park. If you're looking for complete quiet and the opportunity to see the stars, it isn't ideal--close to the main road (lights) and very close to a bar with live music, but you can't hear it inside and it isn't overwhelming outside. Other than that, a perfect place.

The space is a perfect little desert cottage with a great outdoor area, nice amenities, and a convenient location within walking distance to the Joshua Tree shops along the highway. Check-in and check-out were both easy, and communication was quick. We especially loved the gas grill and gas firepit. The place is great. You’re close to Joshua Tree. Nice neighborhood. Felt safe. House is really cool, as advertised. Love the shower. Kitchen is adorable. Bed was super comfy. Sadly it does seem like a big management group runs this place. Communication was a bit off. The washer wasn’t working (these things happen) but the hosts had a hard time figuring out which property we were staying in. One person we texted with said it was fixed. Another said it wasn’t. (Both were nice) Ultimately it didn’t get fixed while we were there. That’s ok. It just lacks a personal touch. And the check in process lacked hospitality. Felt more like “you’d better behave” than “welcome to our home, make yourself comfortable ”. But that’s just my experience. If you want a nice clean place in a good spot. You won’t be disappointed.

Such a great place to stay! The location couldn’t be more perfect. You are close enough to walk to the shops, Joshua tree saloon for drinks, and if you stay on a Saturday there is a night market right down the street! The bed is super comfy, the shower is great and the coffee is so so good. We brought our dog and he loved running around in the backyard. Even though the hot tub doesn’t have jets, it’s so relaxing after a long day. We also loved the fire pit and made one too many s’mores. 10/10 would stay again!

This property was super clean and is in such a perfect location, conveniently to restaurants, gas stations, rite aid, and about 30 minutes to Joshua Tree National Park. Everything went so smooth. We only stayed 1 night but we were able to visit the park, took some awesome pics, climb some of the rocks, ate at this BBQ place that was to die for, and relaxed under the night sky in their cedar hot tub. The tub was a unique experience. I prefer the ones with the jets but this was cool too. There was a night market that was literally steps away from the property that was so lively. It seemed like a bunch of local vendors set up there to sell their goods. pretty cool. We bought some jalepeno jelly, very delicious. I'm favoriting this property so we can visit again with the kidos.

Wonderful place. It’s exactly as advertised and the outside area was great for our dog! We used the hot tub and outdoor shower every night and we even sat around the fire to watch the Perseid meteor shower. There are still lights since the house is right off the main road so it wasn’t completely dark but still very beautiful to see some stars. Also a tip, as someone mentioned that there was a noise keeping them up at night. I think it’s the air conditioning unit in the living area. I found that if I turned that off at night and just turned on the AC unit in the bedroom and closed the door that it was much quieter and cooler to sleep at night.

This is a very cute place to stay in Joshua Tree that is centrally located (just a few min walk) to Joshua Tree Coffee, Sisters Cafe, and a few cute shops in town. It's about a 15 min drive to the park entrance. The hot tub out back was really enjoyable, and the master bedroom had a very cozy vibe being able to to open the sliding glass door into the back yard. We loved our relaxing time here. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect -- right outside the park and waking distance from many local shops. We enjoyed staying here. The backyard has nice shade to be outside without wilting from the sun, while there is also open space to see the stars at night. That said, if you're coming to Joshua Tree for the night sky, this place (any place in town, likely) won't give you the full effect of that. The location is great for other things though. I was able to walk to the farmer's market Saturday morning for fresh fish to grill. Nice shops and some restaurants are within walking distance. If you want to enjoy the desert but still feel like you're part of a community, you'll enjoy it.

My husband, toddler, and I enjoyed our stay at Jumbo Rocks. One of the highlights for us was the hot tub. The place is incredibly clean and well-decorated. It is within walking distance to the shops and restaurants on the main road. It's also a convenient and short drive to the entrance to the National Park. The yard is fenced in which was perfect for our son. If you're looking for a place to stargaze, know that there is light pollution from the main road although you can still see the stars really clearly. I recommend this place especially if you want to be able to explore the town of Joshua Tree in addition to the park.

This place is great! It’s a 15 second walk from the Joshua Tree Saloon. So it’s nice to be so close to town. Very convenient. Great out door area. My boyfriend and I stayed here fri-mon for a weekend getaway. The place was easy to find and was very conveniently located to everything. The house itself is small but cute and good enough for a group of 2-4. I liked the detailing of the fixtures and it was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and each room had an air conditioner. The fire pit outside was nice, didn’t get to use the jacuzzi like we wanted to but will book next time and utilize it. The host is nice and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend.
