♦  ACTIVITIES/ATTRACTIONS  ♦♦
Visitors come to the High Desert for its unique landscape, culture, and recreational opportunities, as well as for the weather - hot and dry summers and mild winters at our high altitude. Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. You’ll be close to all the action at Jellystone Lodge. Some of our favorite options available to you:

–Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography.

–Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm.

• The Integratron: New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process.

It was an amazing Airbnb, the house was super spacious and beautifully designed. We had issues with the AC in the beginning, but the host was super responsive and helpful and we were able to fix it on our own. The jacuzzi is nice and spacious, and there were plenty of board games for the group to enjoy. Definitely a 10/10 experience!

I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. The rooms were generously sized and meticulously maintained. The excellent air conditioning system kept the entire home refreshingly cool. One of the highlights of this property was the impressive kitchen, complete with a convenient wet bar area. I also appreciated the abundance of seating options. The cherry on top of this delightful Airbnb experience was the mini pool and amazing jacuzzi. These luxurious amenities provided the perfect escape to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring. Whether I wanted to soak in the warmth of the jacuzzi or take a refreshing dip in the pool, the choice was always mine. The spacious and clean rooms, excellent air conditioning, tasteful decor, outstanding kitchen with a wet bar, and the added bonus of a mini pool and jacuzzi make this home an absolute gem.

My husband and I desperately needed a getaway since we haven’t been on vacation since before the pandemic. For a long while now I’ve been wanting to check out the desert and found this gorgeous home on Airbnb. This house ended up being the highlight of our trip! Quiet, private, clean and gorgeous! The hosts were excellent communicators and were always willing to help if there was an issue. We loved staying here and highly recommended it!

Ended up hosting my bachelorette weekend here and it was perfect! The house was clean and comfortable for a large group with plenty of space, beds and bathrooms for everyone. The hot tub and cold plunge were awesome, and the back patio was great for tanning and hanging out - would definitely stay here again, especially with the close proximity to Pioneertown, Joshua Tree National Park, etc.

We spent a week at Jellystone Lodge and loved our time there. Everything was exactly as described. The neighborhood and surroundings were very quiet and peaceful, and the home provided an excellent setting to chill out for a few days, go into the park, and enjoy the local attractions. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We loved the house and felt very comfortable. The weather was unusually windy and cold which didn’t allow us to get outside and enjoy the backyard, fire pit and night sky which we were looking forward to. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed our stay.

The place is huge and we really liked the ping pong table, cornhole, and hot tub. The main drawback was the showers. They drain really slowly and it was gross when the water pooled up. Additionally, there were two washclothes for 4 people for several days. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well equipped.
- Review Date: 3/31/2023
Hi Sarah! So glad you liked the house and we are so sorry about the shower drains. This has been addressed and we appreciate your feedback. We do provide 10 body towels, 12 hand towels and two face towels per room plus an additional one for the bathroom. So you must have just missed the ones in the bedrooms and we will work on better signage for future guests so it isn’t confusing!

Our family spent spring break 2023 at the Jellystone Lodge. We had a lovely week long stay. The home fit our needs, was clean, comfortable and quiet. The main focus of our trip was hiking in Joshua Tree and this property gave us easy access. The host provided everything we needed to make us feel right at home. We would definitely stay again if we were to plan another trip to the area.

Spacious and clean, great for our family get together. Great location. A few small things, we had only one dish towel. Asked about it, but no one brought more. I could see there might have been some in the locked cabinets.

My girlfriends and I absolutely loved our stay at Jellystone! The house is so cozy and the photos truly don’t do it justice. It is so spacious and well appointed - kitchen had everything we needed. Hosts were very responsive and communicative. Was also very easy to check out, didn’t have a laundry list of things to do. They really handle it all. Great location - walking distance from the park and just a short drive from Pioneertown. Our only regret was not staying longer - we didn’t get to take advantage of all the amenities (corn hole, ping pong, etc) Thanks for the perfect spot for our book club retreat! We will be back!

We stayed at Jellystone Lodge for 3 nights with our young children and friends. After travelling and staying in studio apartments and hotels, the space was amazing. The house is beautifully appointed and spacious and we were able to spread out as a group of 6 and enjoy some relaxing time. The kids loved the hot tub and games room, and we loved cooking in the beautifully appointed kitchen. Practical things like a washer and dryer were also very welcome. It's a great location to drive to Joshua Tree National Park and down the hill to the shops etc. It was a welcome break from a busy travel schedule and very peaceful. Access and communication was brilliant and the home was spotless and well appointed. What a lovely home!

Perfect home for two adults, one 8-year old, and one small doggy (yay for the fully fenced yard!) for a holiday week getaway. Was appointed with everything we needed and more, was exceptionally clean, and looks just like the pictures. Surrounding area was quiet and felt safe. Host was quickly responsive and helpful when needed. Ping pong, Jenga, and porch swings were a huge hit. We loved our time here and will be back with grandparents next time!

Homestead Modern was absolutely beautiful! Just as described and pictured, even better in person. We traveled with 5 adults, a baby and our pup. The house was so spacious, everyone had their own private space, but still cozy when we all met in the common areas. Very family friendly, baby had more than enough room to crawl around. Kitchen had all the essentials to make meals. Wifi was excellent for those wfh. We visited in December so didn’t use the pool and fire pit area, but we soaked in the hot tub. So relaxing! It’s a perfectly functional house, and the decor and furniture just put it over the top. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area, close to all the shops for grocery runs and quick access to Joshua Tree.

I waited for multiple years to finally make it to Joshua Tree for some time away from the hustle and bustle of life. As entrepreneurs we work non stop and just wanted a quiet and secluded place to relax, finish the work week and enjoy the stillness of a weekend away. We found The Parke and it was perfect, the layout was beautiful and super minimalistic with places to hang and relax all over the property. It was super private and settings outside perfect for meals and hanging out. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay at any of their Airbnbs and in fact we ended up having another opportunity in the same weekend to explore and stay at their Jellystone property due to a miss in booking dates on my end, not theirs, my human error wasn’t ideal but their staff was so amazing and they were quick to provide other options and help us book the second property. Really love their spaces and their staff. Very grateful that they were able to fulfill my Joshua Tree weekend dream come true!

The house and everything about it was great! We loved the hot tub, the stocked kitchen, the decor & all the amenities. There was plenty of space for everyone & plenty of things to do at the house, from the ping pong tables, to board games. There was an error with the keypad when we arrived but I called and the problem was solved and we were inside in under 60 seconds. Highly recommend this airbnb! Thank you for having us.

Our family of four (adults) stayed for five days while we were visiting JTNP. Pros: -Spacious house in quiet neighborhood -Well stocked with games -Nice proximity to park and local stores/restaurants -Kitchen well equipped Cons: - Kitchen wasn’t as clean as it should have been. Greasy wipe marks on stove and front of fridge as well as countertops. - filtered water was in a tiny pitcher, not conducive to size of house, especially when many visitors are likely visiting the park where ample water is essential

I have stayed at so many vacation homes and this may be one of my favorites. It was so comfortable, clean and fun! My husband and I travelled with our 3 kids and this house was perfect for us. We spent long days hiking/exploring in the park and then spent our evenings at home cooking dinner, hanging in the hammocks, sitting by the fire, watching sunsets and soaking in the hot tub. The beds were super comfy, kitchen fully stocked, and so many other sweet little details. Highly highly recommend this home.

This lovely house is walking distance from our favorite trailhead into Joshua Tree National Park, so we had high hopes for a great stay. Those hopes were met and even exceeded. Stylish, comfortable, and clean, with thoughtful touches everywhere you look. We will be back!

This house was perfect for a girls trip away. House is huge and allows for many people to stay while offering tons of comfort and style. The hot tub was perfect for after long hikes and stargazing. Location was great as it was quiet and safe while also being central and close to the National park. It’s an extraordinary home to either stay in for a staycation or for a trip to the desert. Would definitely stay here again!

Simply magical place to spend time with loved ones! Location was perfect -- far enough away to feel disconnected from the hustle & bustle but still be on a paved road. Proximity to JTNP's lesser used trails by Black Rock Canyon Campground is perfect for hikers...if you can tear yourself away from the cozy hammock, relaxing fire pit, or hot tub. If you never stepped outside, the house itself was a sanctuary. Even with 6 of us in the space, there were times I didn't run into others in my party for a couple of hours at a time. Kitchen was modern and well appointed and had everything we could ask for. The fireplace kept us toasty even on the coldest night. Beds & linens were comfortable, luxurious, and abundant in all the rooms. Access, check-in, and check-out with the tablet was a breeze; it was especially useful for figuring out the various amenities as it included instructions.

This house is amazing. The location is wonderful, very close to the National Park. The house is very beautiful and it was sparkling clean. The interior decoration is lovely, with some nice details. It has a functioning piano! The kitchen is well equipped. The rooms and the bathrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The yard has nice furniture that we used to stargaze at night. This is one of the best places we have been through airbnb.

This house is absolutely gorgeous! We loved the design and comfort of the home. Every room was beautiful and functional. And clean! It had every amenity we would ever need. Our family of 5 (including our niece) had different tastes and styles but we all loved the house. It is about 35 minutes from the Joshua Tree state park. I would say that 2 nights was perfect for us, although I wanted to stay longer!
