Great, secluded & private location. Super clean, great decor and amenities were pleasant. You feel like you’re up in a desert oasis and the pool/deck area was the best part! Beds were very comfortable with fluffy pillows and the AC worked fabulous. Loved the Sonos speakers all across the house that we used every day to play some tunes. Would for sure recommend this place and we plan to be back soon.

This stay was amazing! The hosts are so attentive and answered every question we had along the way. The house was exceptional and the views look even better in person. Everything was clean and up to date and the game room was a lot of fun! We spent most of our time in the pool which was the perfect size for the 4 of us and it was the perfect place to lay out at all day. This was our first visit to Joshua Tree, and our first time visiting a desert. Yes it was hot in July, but the house's ac worked great and kept us cool. The pool was an added bonus and our kids spent as much time in there as possible. The location of the house was remote but we loved it, super quiet, beautiful sunrise, plenty of wildlife, but fortunately the house kept the wildlife out and the kitchen was surprisingly clean. The house was also spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. This house was stocked with everything we needed to cook, and there were grocery stores within a reasonable distance. Regarding the location, the house was only about 3 miles from the entrance to Joshua Tree, and equally distant from the downtown, which had a bunch of nice cafes and bakeries and Joshua Tree Coffee Roasters. All in all, great place to visit and we'll definitely come again if we ever visit Joshua Tree again.

I can’t recommend this place enough - if you’re on the fence, just book! It was my first time in Joshua tree and I was weighing up a few different places for our trip with 5 friends. We landed on this Airbnb and are so happy with our choice. Top things about our stay / place: - Fantastic location: close to centre of JT town and situated up on a hill at the end of the street so you have a STUNNING view of the valley. You can literally walk from the back of the house directly to the park behind you. - Beautiful interior and amenities: The Airbnb is so beautifully designed inside and has everything you could need for your stay: fully stocked kitchen, record player and amazing Sonos sound system, dog bed for our furry friend, bath robes, games room and board games. - Pool and hot tub: We don’t know how we would have survived the heat without this! This honestly made our trip. Homestead Modern agency were super responsive and clear with all house instructions. Five stars ??????????

My wife and I own property near this place (for 30+ years, th location is outstanding) which we are developing into our own rental property with Homestead Modern (wonderful firm!). We were so excited to have found this home last minute. The photos were beautiful but the home and view were even more impressive in person. We had such a peaceful stay here. Very private, easy to find and even though it is on a dirt road, we had no problem getting groceries delivered once we were there. There were so many extra amenities in this home that made the stay more enjoyable and easy. Extremely clean. Neighbors close by but definitely feels completely private. Star gazing at night from the deck was everyone’s favorite part. The outdoor space here is very well thought out and where we spent most of our time. We love it so much that we are planning to book again next month!

The pics are accurate but don’t hold a candle to what this property truly is! It’s magical. The rough roads and climb up the hill are totally worth it for the privacy and the views! The outdoor area is immaculate-pool, hot tub, hammocks, lounge chairs, outdoor dining, game room!!! Kids swam for hours. We stargazed at night-never have I seen so many stars! Inside-the kitchen had everything we needed. The living spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms easily accommodated our family of 5. And the decor…??. Minutes from town for drinks, meals and shopping. And less than 15 min from JTNP! Absolutely amazing! Our desert oasis! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful accommodation in a very peaceful setting with stunning views and a fantastic decor. We felt that all the details were very thoughtful, and we really enjoyed our stay. Host was very responsive throughout our stay and helpful. The only downfall was that the hot tub didn't work once and it was a big reason we booked a winter home with a hot tub, but we trust they'll fix it for the next guest. We were just disappointed not to be able to enjoy one of the big draws of the home. Would stay here again provided the hot tub worked.

We enjoyed our two nights at the Overlook Joshua Tree house. It has a lovely panoramic view, is really spacious, and we liked the stylish wood and neutral decor. It's pretty fun driving up the dirt road to get there, and feels private from the few neighbors nearby. We enjoyed the hot tub on our cold desert nights, the roomy kitchen in which to cook, and our comfortable mattresses. It's also a quick drive to the park and the health food store. All in all it was a great spot we could have stayed in for a week.

This has by far been my favorite Airbnb i've stayed in. The views were breathtaking. The design felt warm and cozy. The pool at with the lights and the clear night sky was a whole vibe. The firepit and the grill are connected directly to the gas line, so we didn't have to worry about running through propane tanks. The game room is an awesome addition. Kitchen was fully equipped. Overall, the place had everything we could possibly need. I would just make a note that we went in late October, and the night was definitely freezing. Highly recommend paying the additional fee to get the pool heated. 10/10 would recommend and come time and time again.

Location is pretty amazing. Views are off the charts. Air conditioning worked very well during our stay, as well as the Jacuzzi which was a relief. You’re basically out within the wildlife so be careful! We saw tarantulas, and many coyotes walk on the property but is what adds to the experience positively IMO. The road getting in as many others have said is a bit rough especially for low profile cars. We had a Honda Odyssey van and got in and out multple times for reference. Only real con is that this is a house that gets rented out so there are some wear and tear on some appliances and furniture but thats to be expected. Overall had a great time with my family, and hope this helps anyone make there decision.

The house is perfectly situated in Joshua Tree to enjoy sunsets, stargazing and peace and quiet. Very cool to see wildlife too on the property, occasional coyotes, rabbits and plenty of quail and birds. So close to the National Park entrance which was a nice perk. We came to unplug and all the comfortable outdoor seating areas made the trip super relaxing. Do drive slowly on the dirt road. The attention to detail with housecleaning could be improved but overall a great stay.

We loved our stay at this beautiful home and enjoyed every moment we spent there. The outdoor space is hard to beat and the views are spectacular. We loved the pool, firepit, jacuzzi and game room. Star gazing at night is particularly amazing. We cooked both nights in the well-stocked kitchen — and slept well in the insanely comfortable beds. The house is roomy, clean, and has everything you need for a picture perfect weekend. All the JT vibes are present and accounted for with great energy and am amazing spot for doing nothing or doing everything. We loved our stay here! It was just two of us so there was plenty of space, and this place could easily fit 6. We loved the outdoor space most - the hot tub was beautiful and perfect at dusk, just before cooking dinner on the grill! It is mentioned in other reviews, but there is about 5 minutes of driving on a dirt road with rocky parts to get to the house. I have an SUV, so it wasn’t a big deal but something to be aware of. It also helped that this made the place more secluded, as it wasn’t right in the middle of town. Overall, we loved it and we can’t wait to come back!!

This property is gorgeous, the interior is beautifully decorated (even better than the photos in the listing). The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The outdoor space and deck is modern and clean. We loved the hot tub under the stars. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Just perfect. The oversized arm chairs were wonderful for coffee talk and wine time, can't beat the desert views. The fireplace was our next favorite vantage. The off-roading required to and fro was a little wild, but the expansive landscape and feelings of solitude make it worth the ride. Overall- well appointed and an appreciated dog run. When we arrived, we saw three coyotes, so we were on high alert for the little ones. On that note, wildlife spotting (jackrabbits!) made our stay extra special. Highly suggest this desert dream.

We had a great stay! The house is very big and updated with great amenities. The biggest highlight of our stay was the super cool location of the house and the hot tub! You are right up against the mountains and have a gorgeous view of the desert and downtown Joshua Tree. Also the porch is the perfect place to view the wildlife. You can also see the park west entrance from the house, so if you want to easily and quickly get to the park it will only take 10-15 mins. Just make sure you are driving some sort of SUV since you have to take a very bumpy dirt road to the house.

My friends and I were looking for a spiritual getaway in Joshua Tree and, at the last minute, I booked this place. Boy, this place did not disappoint. Everything from the singing bowl to the crystal ball gave us more than we needed for this weekend. We were playing with the singing bowl all weekend! The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were immaculate. The kitchen had everything we needed, from utensils to plates to a cocktail shaker. I only wish that it wasn’t so rainy, cold, and windy that weekend. Otherwise, we would have left the main house for the game room, the outdoor spaces, and the hot tub. We love this property! The view is breathtaking, the game house is fun, and overall it’s incredibly relaxing. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are straight out of Ace Hotels. My only note for others is that the 3rd bedroom, which doubles as an office, doesn’t have AC. If you don’t need to sleep in that room in the summer, you’re good. If you do, consider that in advance.

Me and my friends had a great stay. The location was stellar. The deck is perfect for stargazing and the hot tub was great option for relaxing at the end of the day. The place is super spacious so none our guests felt trapped and with two bathrooms it was easy to get ready in the AM. Overall the stay was great. The only drawback were the bugs. It’s hot. It’s summer and we’re in the middle of the desert so you can definitely expect a few, but there were A LOT of ants. Flying ants, red ants and the tiny black ants in every room of the house. But again, we’re in the desert so maybe that’s normal? Anyway, I’d recommend this place.

Great and beutiful place for a weekend getaway. It very comfortably slept 6 of us and made for a beutiful trip. I can't wait to return to and stay at Wyatts Hideaway on my next venture to Joshua Tree.

A fantastic secluded find! Lots of places inside and out to sit and gather. The house stayed cool in the hight of summer. Kitchen was big and well stocked with a pass through window to the outdoor dining table. Stargazing in the hot tub and peering out over the twinking lights of town in the distance were pure magic (even with a bright full moon!) The converted garage is a great bonus lounge. Best of all - you don't even have to go into the park to enjoy nature. Just hike into the mountains from your backdoor. Brava!
