♦♦  ACTIVITIES/ATTRACTIONS  ♦♦
Visitors come to the High Desert for its unique landscape, culture, and recreational opportunities, as well as for the weather - hot and dry summers and mild winters at our high altitude. Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. You’ll be close to everything at Harmony Tea House, on El Dorado. Some of our favorite options available to you:

–Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography.

–Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm.

– The Integratron: New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process.

Always been amazing staying with Homestead Modern through the years! Awesome communication and they’re always reaching to meet our needs. I’d recommend checking out their other 70-something rentals as well. HM is consistently awesome all the way around! I haven’t stayed in a rental I haven’t liked yet.

This place was seriously magically. My fiancé and I stayed for 4 nights and we are already planning a return trip for a few weeks! Even though there are other homes fairly near by the place felt totally private. We didn’t leave the property once our entire stay because there was so much to do! Warm nights by the fire pit in our bathing suits going back and fourth from the fire to the hot tub were the best! With the garage doors opened playing YouTube music videos on the flatscreen were the best! We can’t wait to return to this little desert treasure that is Harmony Teahouse!

We absolutely loved our stay here, it was such a treat! We had been traveling for over a week and really appreciated the time to unwind and relax in such a beautiful space. The beds were so comfortable, the linens and tableware were lovely, and the hot tub was a dream. We had everything we could have needed and appreciate the quick and helpful responses from our host. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again. Thanks for having us!

My girlfriend and I took a trip out to Joshua Tree and could not have picked a better place to stay. Beautiful interior, perfect outdoor arrangement, tons of nature and activities to enjoy. We particularly enjoyed painting in the garage and star gazing in the hot tub. We saw the alpacas in the morning, although we should have made a reservation to feed them.

Great house with good privacy. Felt at home inside and outside and with great decor. Just close enough to town to feel comfortable making quick trips while being far enough to be virtually silent at all times of day.

Absolutely loved our stay! The house was well equipped and had everything we needed. Not only was the property beautiful, it was also extremely clean and tidy and the interior design was stunning. We loved the attention to detail – the homemade granola, tea, bluetooth speaker, slippers, yoga mats, etc. was such a nice touch! You get so much value for the price. We would definitely come back! Loved the outdoor spaces and beautiful garage space as well.

We had an amazing week-long stay at the Harmony Tea House! The house is in a pretty secluded area of the desert and it was amazing to see the abundance of wildlife around (lizards, birds, adorable rabbits, etc). We loved using the hot tub in the evenings for stargazing. The space was decorated really beautifully, the bed in the main suite was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook a few meals at home. The matcha tea set, local granola and coffee, and gourmet spices were such nice touches! We appreciated the clear directions on how to navigate to the property as our GPS directions were a little bit off. My boyfriend and I both worked remotely throughout the week and the wifi was suitable for taking zoom calls and remotely logging in to our work environments. I would definitely recommend this property for a peaceful, relaxing, secluded holiday without being completely off the grid!

We had the most wonderful stay! The house was just as described, clean and uncluttered. We had everything we needed to cook some meals in on the nights we wanted to relax after exploring Joshua Tree. We made use of the hot tub in the mornings and evenings and appreciated the scheduled weekly cleaning. The grounds were fun to explore with our 6 year old daughter and we also spent mornings in the tea house drawing on the giant sketch pad. We also had no trouble checking in with work and taking conference calls when needed. Wifi was reliable. Would definitely return again!

Perfect stay for the days we booked but unfortunately would have been better if the weather didn’t choose to rain. We were hoping to see the stars, the sunrise n sunset. Nonetheless, Me my husband the kids and my friend had a good time. A lil fun in the garage room , A lil painting was fun to do. The bean bags were nice to seat on. Amazing view from inside and out. Plus the jacuzzi hit the spot! Super relaxing. The fire pit was warm enough n hit the spot for the s’mores. We all took a lil walk around the neighborhood pretty private. Also, there was a lil lama ranch up ahead to site watch but that was closed due to the rain so we couldn’t see them. But that’s okay maybe in nearest future for when we book a trip like this again. I personally love to see the plants the little creatures that live out there n the earthy smell. But overall pleasing. Only down fall is we would have loved to have a tv in the main house as-well. Just didn’t expect it in the garage. Best relaxing trip ever!

This was one of our all time favorite air bnb experiences as a family. My husband, myself, and my two year old came. We loved the hot tub, the amazing tea room with art supplies, and the beautiful, pristine well stocked kitchen. So many times with air bnb you’re using mismatched plates, a poorly stocked kitchen, lumpy mattresses, etc— this had premium quality everything and the decor and attention to detail was definitely the best I’ve had in any air bnb. We created the most special memories to last a lifetime and are so grateful to our hosts for a great stay.

Beautiful home with all the amenities one could want! We really enjoyed the outdoor seating and the hot tub. Bed was also super comfortable. A deep clean to remove pet hair and some leftover residue would help the place shine even more. Hosts were very responsive and helpful! We appreciated the kind welcome goodies!

We loved our stay here! The house was beautifully decorated, spotless, and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed linens were very comfortable. We appreciated that the TV was located in another building— still accessible while allowing us to “unplug” when needed. The location was rural enough to get away from artificial light, so stargazing was amazing! There is a dirt road that can be difficult to navigate, especially at night, but maps generally led us the right way. Thank you, Homestead Modern!

This has been my favorite stay out of the 4 airbnbs I’ve stayed at in J Tree! We were welcomed with a handwritten note which was so warming. The tea room was peaceful and relaxing. The house was beautiful and every detail was thought out to match the tea room down to the matcha and tea books in the house. The hot tub was perfect to stargaze at night and share a glass of wine with my partner. It’s close to everything we needed yet still private so we got a perfect desert experience. We fell in love with this place and can’t wait to come back soon!! Homestead Modern took great care of us ?

The Harmony Tea House was beautiful. It was very clean and comfy to hang around in. It was very quiet and all of the amenities were enjoyable. The host communicated well and provided a wonderful book of resources to do in the surrounding towns. I would definitely go back and stay at the Harmony Tea house or bring some friends back and stay at one of their larger properties. The Harmony Tea Room is a must go to, you won’t be disappointed.
